Stockport Birth Services has insurance in respect of Professional Indemnity and Public Liability.
Your booking is not complete if payment has not been made and received. While we will always endeavour to reserve a space for you until payment is made, this is not always possible. Stockport Birth Services is under no obligation to refund either in full or part if you are unable to attend all or part of the booking. If the booking is cancelled in its entirety by Stockport Birth Services you will be entitled to a refund on request. In the event of suffering miscarriage or stillbirth prior to the start of your booking you will be entitled to a full refund. A partial refund will be available if your booking has already commenced.
Stockport Birth Services will always endeavour to provide you with as much notice as possible in the unlikely event that a booking needs to be altered, postponed or cancelled. Where the start time is altered by 30 minutes or less and/or the venue is within a 1.5 mile radius of the original venue then no refunds will be offered. In the unlikely event that a change needs to be made to the booking please be reassured that we have tried everything possible to minimise the disruption to you before making the decision.
In the case of the cancellation being altered due to the covid19 pandemic, no refunds shall be offered if the course is moved to an online service either in advance or part way through the course. Every effort shall be made to provide as much face to face time as possible but safety is of the utmost priority. The decision to move to online services may come before any legislative changes, this is made with your safety in mind. It is a condition of booking that you adhere to the covid safety precautions as laid out prior to your course commencing.
Any booking made for any service except for group antenatal classes will be charged an additional 45p per mile for any visit over 7 driving (not as the crow flies) miles from the postcode SK3 8SY. We will endeavour to advise you of this in advance of you making payment but if this is not possible we will ask you to make a secondary payment. In the case of block booked packages this charge will apply to all scheduled visits.
Stockport Birth Services may at our own discretion choose to refuse you access to the course. This is not a decision taken lightly and will be made in the best interests of other course participants or ourselves.
Please be aware of your surroundings when entering the venue for your booking. Please do not enter into any unsafe area, store your own belongings neatly and in a way that will not cause a trip hazard, and ensure your mobile is on silent so as not to disrupt the course. Ensure that any changes in your health, wellbeing or contact/emergency contact are updated with Stockport Birth Services.
Unless otherwise expressly permitted please do not take photos or videos of any persons or content within the course.
By booking a place with Stockport Birth Services you agree to inform the instructor of all relevant medical conditions and indemnify Stockport Birth Services for any issues arising from your failure to provide this information. All information is treated sensitively, in confidence, and adhering to current data protection regulations. Such conditions may include (but are not limited to) pre-existing medical conditions or conditions which arise during pregnancy such as high blood pressure, low blood pressure, bleeding, history of miscarriage, placenta praevia or pelvic girdle pain (mother) heart conditions, organ dysfunction, genetic disorders (baby). It is your responsibility to keep Stockport Birth Services up to date with your conditions and advise if any changes occur or new conditions arise. If you are unwell with a transient illness such as a virus please advise Stockport Birth Services ahead of the booking start time so we can assess whether you present a risk to others or ourselves.
In the absence of any proven negligence, lack of due dilligence or breach of duty by Stockport Birth Services the participation of you, your partner or your baby is done so entirely at your and their own risk.
Stockport Birth Services assert the right under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 to be identified as the author and owner of any material used in any courses, articles or emails unless expressly identified otherwise.
